LATEST PENNANT RESULTS

Did everyone notice that I left the name of the winning team out? I was just making sure if anyone checked the webpage out. (Yeah Yeah)
THEY HAVE FINALLY DONE IT.
Since joining the Illawarra District Golf Association in 1970 this is the first time that St Georges Basin have won a "Male" Pennant Flag in being victorious in the "B" Pennant. It had been as long time coming, but by the looks on their faces, they didn't care. They were the team that brought home the bacon.
After all the rain we've had over the summer, we finally had a sunny day to play golf. They had a good win too, beating Port Kembla by 5 matches to 2 in an entertaining match.
Special congratulations must go to them and their officials.
In the "C" Pennant Final the winners were The Links Shell Cove who had a close tussle with Port Kembla, finally getting on top with a 4 matches to 3 victory. They are also to be congratulated, being one of our younger clubs.
The other finals, being the "Illawarra" Pennant, "White Horse Cup" and the "Junior" Pennant will be played on next next weekend. The details are in our previous report.
